Independent Verification and Validation
The term, "Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V)", describes a process through an independent group is contracted to review project deliverables and assure that an architecture or development program satisfies the fundamental requirements and objectives.
IV&V augments a company's project quality system by adding management and technical expertise equivalent to the development group, organization or vendor. During evaluation, the independent contractor assures that both the development process and deliverables meet the defined requirements and further assures that the client obtains sufficient information to support and maintain the delivered system, process and/or application.
IV&V is typically employed in situations where the client organizations do not have the required knowledge or experience to effectively review and validate project deliverables of employed processes.
Project Management and Project Office Support
Today's organizations are faced with an unprecedented number of critical management/technical decisions, in an environment of increased competition, tightening budgets, reduced delivery schedules and rapidly changing technology. This has significantly altered the role of the Project Manager.
Historically, the role of the Project Manager was to plan, monitor and control project activities. System and Software Acquisition Management
ASMG can deliver consulting, training and direct services towards the management of system and software acquisitions. These services focus on transfer of knowledge and skills to the client's internal Information Technology staff in the art and science of technical contract management ' issues, what to look for and how to correct it.
Organizations continually attempt to stream line their business activities to reduce operational overheads. Many reduce internal operations and transition to 'out-sourced' provision for specialized services. The proponents of out-sourced development often disregard or under estimate the importance of the effective and efficient management of their corporate knowledge related to 'Information' implementations. Managing these implementations over the long term, in a cost effective manner, requires specialized knowledge, which is typically gathered through the development cycle.

Computer Assisted Software Engineering
ASMG delivers consulting, training and direct services in the use, management and tailoring of Computer Assisted Software Engineering (CASE), repository and management technologies. The focus of our CASE-related services is the cost effective integration of business process and systems life-cycles utilizing the ASMG's unique 'meta data' products and selected CASE tools.
Individual CASE tools fulfill specific roles and requirements, however, 'information management' and 'knowledge management' solutions require an integrated view of the 'Information' architecture necessitating the integration of several tools and customized reporting features. ASMG has in-depth experience in integrating CASE related tools to support a variety of client needs, including: Chief Information Office (CIO)/Chief Technical Officer (CTO) decision support, quality reviews, interface management and forensic audits. The group focuses on the design and implementation of software support infrastructure (i.e., policies, practices, procedures, tools and training) to ensure that software systems developed or acquired by the organization meet defined needs, objectives and requirements. ASMG builds on its experience to tailor a Quality Assurance program that delivers reliable, maintainable and cost-effective systems.
Interface Management & Data Transition/Conversion
ASMG delivers a full range of products and services targeted at the design, implementation and maintenance of critical corporate B2B, ODS, Data Mart and Data warehouse interfaces.
